Because my model train collection grows, I wanted to enter them into a database. This database should fulfill the following requirements:

• It must be usable with macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Several track gauges must be usable.
• Besides a list of own trains, a wish list must be available.
• It must be able to save at least one image for every train.
• The history (maintenance, repair, retrofit...) of each model must be savable.
• I want to enter all spare parts of each model.
• Information about the original must be recordable.
• The life cycle of the original should be savable.
• There should be graphical reports available.
• A simple selection of the models (e.g. era) must be possible.

Unfortunately, I did not find a program that fulfills all of the above requirements. On the other hand, I had experience with the development of database applications (Gebührenrechner, Bambini, Mac-HaBu...). This was the reason I decided to develop my own program. Additionally to the above requirements, I realized a very flexible concept. All parameters (gauges, era, manufacturer...) can be changed by the user.

With iMoVe Pro, you get the possibility to administer all data on the iPad or iPhone. Here, you can see and edit the data. With the synchronization, both systems are always up to date.

I use this program for the management of my own model train collection. Accordingly, I will add new features as fast as possible. But I like to add ideas from other users, too. Please let me know your ideas.

Mac-MoVe, Lin-MoVe, and Win-MoVe offer some very interesting advantages:

• Mac-MoVe (macOS), Win-MoVe (Windows), and Lin-MoVe (Linux) are fully compatible together. With one registration, you can use the data alternately on all three platforms.
• There is a version for iPhone and iPad, too. And with the integrated synchronization, the data will always be up to date.
• Mac-MoVe, Win-MoVe, and Lin-MoVe are based on the already existing programs (Mac-HaBu, Win-HaBu, and Lin-HaBu). The programs have been introduced for many years. Many features (interfaces, GUI, database, backup…) of this existing program could be reused.
• New functions in Mac-HaBu, Win-HaBu, or Lin-HaBu will be implemented in Mac-MoVe, Win-MoVe, and Lin-MoVe, too. Only functions which make no sense will not be ported.
• All data is stored normally in a local database file. For this, no knowledge about the administration of a database server is necessary. Alternatively, different methods exist to use it on several workstations.
• As with other shareware, there are no costs for an update.

In version 10.7, the following significant functionalities were introduced:

• The sum of cost of spare parts is now shown in the lists.
• The field Packing has been extended so that you can now also enter, for example, the storage location or the type of packaging.
• In the part "Digital", two fields (sound, installation) have been added.

We also corrected all known errors and optimized the usage.

End User License Agreement (EULA)

With the download, you accept the following conditions. This applies to the unregistered version, too.

• You are allowed to give the program to another person. But you have to give this person the original files, like we provide on our web-server.
• Changes at the files (program, help texts, user guide...) are not allowed. The original programs are allowed to change the data, only.
• The user guide is exclusive for the usage of this program. Any other usage is forbidden.
• All license agreements are invalid with the release of this version.
• With payment of the registration fee, you get the right to use this program for an unlimited time.
• You may use the software on different computers. But only one person is allowed to work with it at the same time.
• You are not allowed to give the registered version to another person.
• Leasing, Renting or something else like this is forbidden.
• The registration information is to be protected against unauthorized access by third parties.
• You have a 60-day grace period to evaluate all functionalities of this program. Upon payment of the registration fee, you acknowledge that the program will meet your requirements.
• The MC Richter GbR is not responsible for damages, which results direct or indirect from the usage of this software, including any statements made in the user guide.

Notes about above versions:

• The version for ARM (Linux) can be used on a Raspberry Pi if the system requirements (e.g. memory) are fulfilled,
• For an update from versions prior 8, it is necessary to update to version 5 first. Only after this, you can update to the current version. Please use Mac-MoVe 8, Win-MoVe 8 or Lin-MoVe 8.for this step.
• With xMoVe, a version for macOS is available, which can be loaded from the App Store.
• You can also read the user guide for xMoVe comfortably in the app "Books" on your Mac, iPad or iPhone.
• When you start Lin-MoVe the first time, it may be possible that the controls are not displayed correct. If this occurs, open the preferences and adjust the control.
• When starting the installer for Win-MoVe, there may be several security warnings. The reason is that Windows wants to protect you from viruses and Trojans. Our applications are developed under macOS and are therefore protected from malware for Windows. Therefore, please confirm all the warnings.
